Point shapefile of the outer limits of the U.S. extended continental shelf. Determined in Geocap.<\/SPAN><\/P> Attributes:<\/SPAN><\/P> Region: U.S. Extended Continental Shelf Region. There are seven regions in total: Atlantic, Arctic, Bering Sea, Eastern Gulf of America, Western Gulf of America, Mariana Islands, and the Pacific.<\/SPAN><\/P> PT_ID: Outer limit point identifier for the outer limits of the continental shelf<\/SPAN><\/P> PT_X: Longitude of this outer limit point<\/SPAN><\/P> PT_Y: Latitude of this outer limit point<\/SPAN><\/P> POINT_DIST: Distance from this outer limit point to the previous outer limit point<\/SPAN><\/P> A76_PROV: The specific provision from Article 76 of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea used to determine this outer limit point<\/SPAN><\/P> METHOD: The method used from Article 76 of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea. Formulas can be either a 60 M point or a sediment thickness point. Constraints can be either 350 M from the baselines or 100 M from the 2500 m isobath.
